My retired (17yo) pony is still holding on to a bit of her winter coat. Not patches, but just a few tufts on her flanks and her hind legs. I think she is also drinking more (but it is HOT out there!), certainly more than my in-work TB.
Enough signs to think I need a test done?
 
I would. It’s not very expensive and could save you having to deal with the worse symptoms if it’s positive. You really don’t want to find out when she gets laminitis for no reason. If nothing else it will put your mind at rest.
 
Thank you. She's due her teeth doing in August so will speak to the vet then.
She is already on a starvation paddock as she has always been a good doer.
