I'm not sure if this is in the right place but i brought a filly last year and the lady i brought her from got her papered and passported for me, only im abit concerned as the filly is dutch warmblood x friesian and she said that the friesian studbook are very fussy about giving the info on a friesian who is not bred to another pure friesian. Anyway we had to do a DNA sample and send it to Holland ( the mare was infoal with my filly when she was imported ) alittle while after we received a passport and papers from the 'europees stamboek' well i had to register me as the owner but as all the passport was in dutch i gave the AES a call and they said these particular passports had not been issued for a while and they were somehow connected and said if i sent all of the fillys paperwork to them they would register her over here and give me an AES passport. Does this sound right? The papers that she was issued with are in her new passport but i just feel something dosen't add up, am i just being over cautious?
I am not 'up' on this papering /passporting stuff and if someone could explain it to me i would be very grateful, hope it made sense
