My 2 year old JRT x FT Wibble never fails to amuse me.
Friday night, put him out for him night time wee before bed, and he sat by the back door just waiting to come in. I ignored him and left him a good 5 minutes, but he didn't budge. Gave in and let him in, and as he hopped over the door ledge, he was on 3 legs, COMPLETELY crippled, looking really sorry for himself! Tried to ice pack his leg (although there was no heat or swelling) but he was having none of it! So put him to bed in his crate, keeping him as quiet as possible.
Saturday morning, up early (as was off to Draycott BE!) and was hoping he'd be OK, no - even more crippled than the night before! I didn't have time to take him to the vets as I had to go get the ponio ready for his comp! So phoned my mum and told her to go to mine and take him to the vets! She rang me about 45 minutes later to say she'd got to mine, got him out the cage and he was completely fine. GRRRR. So she took him to hers for the day to keep an eye on him!
This isn't the first time he's done this. Another time I had another comp to go to for the day, and I came downstairs in the morning to find Wibble with a really puffy gooey eye that had swollen LOADS.
ARGH! Same thing, phoned the mother and told her to take him to the vets. When she got to mine, he was completely fine!
So question is - does your dog do this? Do they know you're going out for the day, and try and think of a way to make you stay? LOL!
