And did you teach them?

Im not talking parelli games/tricks here, just normal things that you have taught your horse or what they do?

When I give my horse a carrot, he will bite a bit off, eat it, then bite some more, eat it and so on :p Bit odd :p

If i touch my horses lips/mouth or check area she will raise her top lip as in doing flehmen. She wil do it everytime i touch those areas too lol. Shes very funny with it. I did not teach her this tho, she just dos it, i dont think the people i bought her off would have taught her this but maybe someone did lol.

our 13.2 bows and lifts his leg when you say please.
Funny in the show ring as steward asked please could you do... and is leg went up,

Charley does things first, I merely teach him the cue for it afterwards.

Ollie will bow with his front left leg, and only his front left leg, he puts it really far forward and puts his head between his legs, he doesnt go down on his knee though and wont do it when im sat on him, he does it when ever he suspects there is food about for him, often he does it when your giving him his feed or if you put your hand in your pocket when you are stood at the side of him

Kizzie will beg if she thinks you have some treats and tell her to say please

mine bows, says please with her front legs (left is way better than right)

although sometimes very unhelpful, if she fidgets whilst im putting her boots on and i accidentally say please behave etc i quite often get a knee towards my head as she says please to me :D bless

she also has another amazing trick called lets see how fast i can go and not stop until im ready. so i just erm sit there ? lol

also has to buck when she does a flying change because did you know there VERY exciting to 18yo horses :D

ohh and mini rears are more fun than leg yielding in walk beacuse that would mean i have to cross my legs or something

Mine does a couple, not amazing ones though:

Dylan lets me stand on his back, I'm currently teaching him to bow, and he 'begs' by lifting a front leg up and bending it (sometimes he also tips his head to one side).

I tried teaching a pony to bow but never got past the 'head between the knees' phase.

Now, whenever he wants something he paws the ground and puts his head between his knees whilst walking backwards.

Pretty impressive really ;) :p

neither "taught", but warmblood can apple bob (apple out of bucket of water) in under 20 seconds - usually 10.

also likes to balance empty feed skip on stable door before lobbing it across yard.

Was your WB ever on a yard with my D?! :D When I was at last yard (competition yard) Shadow used to throw his bucket at one of the grooms, although they never feed him so no idea why they bore the brunt of the abuse!!

He is also a dab hand at apple bobbing, open mouth...place around apple...submerge head and push apple to bottom and bite!

One of mine picks her feet up before you get there as you go around picking them out. Some good tricks I might teach my pony now, his current sort of trick (probably not a trick) is if I run he'll trot beside me in the field, if I do the one leg forward run he'll canter off/beside me :) Probably not a trick though just a very weird pony! Also if you ask him for a kiss he'll nudge your mouth if its by his, and he'll even lick your chin/face as if he's trying to snog you!

I taught magic to bow as a yearling but i stopped for a few years, shame he almost done it on command, will try and find some pictures.

My first horse, who was fantastic, used to lift me up on his head. When he was bored, he would lift me to the side and carry on grazing
Tried to put a pic but can't work out how to. My current mare like to try and pinch my cup of tea and will groom me.

my horse helps to open gates, if it isn't open wide enough she will nudge it open. not really a trick, more like being helpful.:D
A horse I rode as a kid was a rearer. You could always tell when he was going to do it so if we were in the village, i would ask the kids if they wanted to see him rear. Then he did it and everyone thought it was a trick, like champion the wonderhorse lol

"Corner" makes Herc go and stand in his corner to wait for feed. He'll also do it on his own if he spots his bucket. And 'Jarmers' (as in PJ's) makes him put his head down and stretch out, making it a lot easier to put his bib on.

However he will only do them if you are holding the required item.

I keep meaning to teach him to play fetch.

Mine begs for treats by lifting his front leg up. If the first leg doesn't result in a treat, then he'll try the other and puts his head on one side too, so that people can't resist!! It's cute when you approach his stable as you can just tell by his face what his legs are doing even before you can see them! Silly old sausage :):p:)

I did clicker training with mine and all I seemed to have taught him is to do 'kisses'. Problem is he knows he gets a mint or something when he does it so when bored at a show he'll randomly do it to people! Anyone! Bit embarassing when its total strangers...
