Does your horse do anything that embarrasses you?

My horse is a bucket killer. If my OH gives feeds him in a bucket the the will be squashed and broken within an hour!!! It's very annoying, he actually doesn't like being fed in bucket or a tub either he has to kick it over first and then eat everything off the ground.

When we are out hunting and we have to stand at a covert he spends most of the time pushing the other horses out of the way! It's like he claustrophobic! He usually settles after the first hour.

My cob gelding is a right sod!

At shows he has to announce his presence to all and sundry at full volume in a very high pitch. He also thinks he is a TB stallion, and god forbid we are parked next to an in-season mare (I have had to actually move the trailer in the middle of the day because he wouldn't leave her alone), even if I am on him he will arch his neck and prance about when we are next to a mare (useful in the few showing classes that we do though ;) ).

He is currently in absolute heaven as he is the only gelding in a herd of 4! Roll on spring

Mine pulls faces at everyone :rolleyes:The other evening the yard busybody helped me carry his bucket of water into his stable where he was happily munching on his hay. She was oohhing and ahhing saying what a beautiful boy he was and scratched his neck.....he turned his head round and pulled the most horrendous face clearly saying "go away". Oh dear :p

Yes ,mine does the horrid face thing and usually its when someone says, oh what a sweet face, i am sure if he could speak it would be quite foul, his other embarrassing little habit is that if i am holding him for the vet or someone he grabs his lead rope and we have a hideous tug of as you would have with a dog,but got to love him, loads of character.

I've just remembered another embarrassing story! I was staying at my friends and we decided to ride to the local shop the next morning to get some some breakfast, she hopped off and went into the shop and left me in the car park holiding both horses. Both of them decided to do a massive wee at the same time and basically flooded the car park, don't think the other customers were too impressed!!

Sometime i think they do these things on purpose! :p

Not so bad now but mine runs off with me whenever he can get away with it. Took off at a hunter trial once, didn't hear it myself but the commentator was so amused, by the time I had managed to pull him up (a field later, and a field that wasn't actually part of the course, and a BIG field) and brought him back, a cheering crowd had gathered to welcome me! Oh man I still wince now :D
