Just wondering really, I think I must be immensely boring because I buy everything in black or white. That way it always looks ok whatever!

I always buy rugs in last years colours where possible, but mostly through default I have ended up with a green headcollar and travelling boots!

If you do have a colour, do you have loads of sets of things so you can wash or wear?

black, navy, maroon, green. anything practical im not into pink and purple.
my hat silk is black and red striped, thats about as exciting as it gets.

'Officially' me gelding's colour is green and my mare's is purple although I'm very lax with it! When buying feed buckets I'll buy them their colour, the same for the most part for headcollars. But it ends there- if they need new rugs etc I get whatever has a good price and travels boots etc are the same.

I have to admit Mr P and I are usually absolutely agog when the Robinsons catalogue comes through!

The yard I am on does mostly like to indulge in it though. I think Star would be mortified tbh!

Well headcollars ones green other two colour, brushes purple others different colours.Turnout rug on him purple on her (pony) blue rug with fishes on it lol
I love bright colours.

My very spoilt mare was in pink and grey but she has gone now :-( so I am looking for inspiration for my new boy, he is coming on saturday (fingers crossed) in a dark dappled grey and currently no matching accessories!!

Navy with yellow/gold piping! So far got matching numnah, BP, hat, feed tubs and fleece (but the piping is white, not yellow ) And our lorry just got resprayed in silver... with a navy and yellow stripe down the side :D

Ooo - I have colour sets for each of mine...

Green and Black for one
Blue and Yellow for one
Gold or Brown and White for the other

It just helps me to know what belongs to who :)

I try to keep their headcollars, grooming kits, numnahs, feedbuckets, travel rugs etc to their colours... they are all a similar size so it helps to differentiate. However, as others have said if there isn't a choice, they just get what is available. Colour would come after suitability :)

Before I could afford a horse, I was already buying green items in preparation :)

All of mine are xD

little chestnut mare is sky blue and navy blue. Got buckets, rugs, headcollar, grooming kit, but she doesnt travel anywhere, so no travel kit

little palamino is in purple, again the same items as above

my baby is in pink and navy, has navy rug with pink edging, pink XC colours, numnah, but thats about as far as it goes. Oh, and grooming kit. His travel boots are navy, headcollar is black (it came with him, rubbish! lol) his bucket is a black rubber one. Also has pink florescents (sp?)! He loves it!

my little dark bay has the whole hog! He is navy and yellow! navy fleece with yellow edging, yellow bucket, yellow headcoller (his show headcollar is yellow with navy edging) yellow grooming kit, navy trval kit again, but the specific ones i like only come in black or navy

My event horse, is also in pink, but as he is loaned to a boy, its the minimum. He has navy pink edged fleecey, but i think thats all the pink bits that went with him!

bexcy-bee x

Nope. I'm not really into colour themes.. With my lad I tend to stick to fairly neutral colours for numnahs; burgandy, dark green, brown, white etc, but will always go for comfort and practicality over colour. Sister's ponies have an assortment of brightly coloured numnahs/saddleclothes so they're also both completely unco-ordinated! They have leather headcollars so no colour matching there. Rugs I try and buy darker colours if possible - keeps them looking nicer for longer! - but I love a bargain so have a couple of brighter ones too. :)

i just buy things that i need, i don't have set colours as such but i do prefer to get black, dark blue (navy/royal) or dark red. i don't go all out to buy things in them colours though as cost plays a huge part in what i buy! :D

My mare used to be in sky blue. She had a selecetion of blue rugs- from the amigo range, traveling boots and fleece, headcollar, boots, whip, numnah, buckets and lovely stripey newmarket blue exercise sheet.
She was blue and white, so looked lovely in it.
My little black section a looks gorgeous in green, so his posh show rug is green. He isnt as strict though, mostly because green is harder to find, and he is retired.

Black, white or grey for my steel grey, I wouldn't say I have a colour theme, just the only colours that don't look daft on him.

Although I did buy my two a pair of bright purple OR boots for field use (which clash wonderfully with their red turnout rugs) but I bought the purple ones for a reason, so they will show up in the grass if they come off, I have a dark pair for riding out in.:D

Oh yeah

Lady - Black and Red
Solar - Purple
Prince - Navy Blue and Burgandy
Kes - Blue

They have rugs in whatever colour but if there is a choice they'll have them in thier colour, everything we get if possible is in thier colours....grooming kit etc....

Food buckets are in colurs too, easier when feeding time comes.

Yes! Navy and light Pink for shows/travel, that includes XC colours, fleece, saddle cloth etc etc.

For day to day though she has lots of different matching sets... off the top of my head: pink, light blue, navy, chocolate, cream, khaki, white, grey, sky blue............ lots more but can't recall them all from memory!! :) It is great having so many as she always has clean sets folded neatly in her box!!

Hmmm............starting to think my pony is quite spolit!! :D

All my buckets/water tubs/stall chains etc are blue....everything like that I try to get in blue.....the horses are in black, grey and blue.

If there is a choice of colours and one of those colours matches my other stuff then I will go for matching, but I don't let a non matching colour stop me buying something that is only available in a non matching colour!

chestnut horse, had black tack and everything else is a shade of blue, I have one grey rug and one black anti-sweat string vest style rug, but they match the general scheme, and I have grey, black, and blue polo shirts, fleece jackets, padded jacket and jods
