think I'd invest in a haylage net. Mine does paw the ground but use very small holed net if she has to have one so never had a problem!!
 
Yep, mine did it, i bought him a haylage net, and yanked it up as high as possible! No problem now, the pawing only starts now when he is bored on the yard after being groomed and waiting to be ridden....think he needs to learn some patience!!
 
He does it for attention and i never leave him unsupervised but the tying up ring outside his box is quite low. Its alot higher in his box though. Think i might have to get a smaller holes net for when he's tied up.
 
temper! my boy does it when he's being made to do something he doesn't want to do - trying to crack it though as it drives me mad!
 
This could potentially be quite dangerous if the haynet gets tangled round his leg and he panics. I would really try to get either a higher ring or a haynet with smaller holes.
