There seem to be a lot of very old horses appearing in ads at the moment. Really the current owner should take responsibility for the future welfare of an elderly animal not sell it on to God knows what! It is very sad for the horses involved.

I hate to see older horses rehomed as well. I have lost count of the amount of times I have heard of people buying horses to then find out the horse is actually 10 years older than they thought originally. I appreciate it is hard to part with an animal when the time has come and I also understand that it is made twice as hard if the horse is elderly and your reasons are financial ones, but in reality there are too many dodgy sellers out there who would pass on a horse to do any job regardless and just for money.

Guiness_ where abouts are you from? Reason I ask is because your thob looks remarkably like a Guiness that I used to ride for my YO before he was sold. I'm in East Kent.
