I do - taught myself this year from a book after my mother told me she was not doing it for me anymore (I am 26!) I went into the tack shop and they are a horrendous price so looking at some online. They bring out the perfectionist in me though has to be perfect or else they look crap.

i don't know how to tie a stock....should it be tight? or loose? or comfortable? I know they are there for you who hunt to keep your neck together should the worst happen.....

They shouldn't feel like its strangling you but it should be tight, certainly not loose! Alot of untied stocks show how to tie them in the packet!

I have one I tie myself. I don't know if I tie it correctly but it always looks nice. I don't like the ready tied or false stocks and would always ware a "proper" tie your own one.
