dog agility in Hampshire

Hi! Just wanted to ask if anyone knows of any dog agility clubs or classes in the Petersfield area or further afield towards Portsmouth or Winchester?
My 12 year old daughter would really like to do agility with our rescued German shorthaired pointer but so far we are struggling to find anywhere. One club was recommended to us at our dog training classes but it's completely full unfortunately. They are having loads of fun practicing at home using home made courses but ultimately would like to learn at a club.
Loads of thanks to anyone with any suggestions, or some advice on home agility training would be great too

Go to scallywags near Wickham. I have been training there with my gsp for 2 years! (Although shortly about to relocate)

The guy who runs it has competed at the top level and has been great thinking out the box sometimes to help H and me

There is a great mix of people who compete and people who do it for fun. They have even encouraged me to give it a go and been really supportive at shows helping me out. Can't recommend them highly enough

Check http://www.agilitynet.co.uk/clutch/clubs.htm for a club in your area. Most good clubs have long waiting lists though (a year +). I would wait until you get into a club before teaching anything at home as you wouldn't want to teach something the wrong way that could be unsafe.

Thank you! Scallywags sounds great we will contact them as soon as possible. So lovely to hear of another gsp doing agility! Such a shame that you are relocating though Galaxy, it would have been great to get to know someone local with a gsp. We love ours although he was truely awful when we first got him!

Good point about the home training, I hadn't thought of it like that. I'm trying to prepare my daughter for a bit of a wait she's impatient in a very 12 year old way!
