Dog attacks girl :(

OFFS. I can't even be arsed to reply anymore. Clearly I'm wrong to be on the side of a small child who suffered an injury. I should be on the side of a dog who either purposely or accidentally caused said injury and his reckless owner who let it happen. How stupid of me. As someone who witnessed their 4yr old brother being dragged round the garden by his face, (by an Old English Sheepdog),I'll always take the childs side. All I'm saying is that surely a child is more important than a dog??!!

No Lexie, sorry, but these cases are usually the owner of the dogs fault. Even in the event of a child approaching a dog in a public place the dogs handler should be capable of preventing an incident. How about telling the child to go away, "My dog might bite you" and of course it might.

What happens at home is another matter, but I would never, ever trust any dog with small children. Our dog is a star with all the grandchildren, but children can be and are very rough sometimes

Dear lord- I have said that seeing as NO ONE knows the circumstances that ALL the blame CAN NOT lie 100% with the dog/dog's owner- I have said that due to NO frigging evidence then the blame has to lie with both parties, until such time that someone says "I was there, I saw it, that dog ran up and just bit the kid" OR " the dog was fine with the kid until it pinched it, pulled its tail, leant down to kiss it".

Yes a childs life is more important than a dogs- oh wait how could I possibly know that not having any myself- or um do I? All I am saying is do not be so quick to judge the dog/owner when you do not know anything about the so called "attack"- which is so far in another league to a kid being dragged round the garden by its face it is laughable!
