We have 2 JRTs. One has quite bad shoulder arthritis (currently hoping Librela will help). It means she just can't walk much of a distance comfortably.

We are off camping I'm the summer, and normally we would be doing long walks, but she definitely can't do that. I am seriously considering a dog backpack so that I can carry limpy dog most of the way.

Has anyone used one? A Google has found me lots that look flimsy but I did find a great looking one but with a £120 price tag it would need to be excellent. I don't want one where the dog's legs dangle, I want her to be able to sit normally in the backpack. She weighs under 6kg if that helps?

I looked at back packs for the same reason. I quite like the design of the Fasriou, as it supports the dogs body and seems well ventilated.
However, because our ancient Border Terrier is heavier than your girl, I bought a three wheel, all terrain dog buggy as a compromise. It's light enough to carry over styles and can cope with woodland tracks etc, but wouldn't work over rocky footpaths and bogs.

Following with interest as neither me or 9kg terrier are getting any younger but like doing coastpaths and that sort of thing.
