has anyone got or seen any of these trailers you attach to the back of pedal bike for dogs. buying myself an electric assisted bike an would like to get my irish setter out to places again, my bike is suitable to tow him in a trailer, but i worry how dogs get on with them and the possible problems and dangers.

anyone know any good ones or bad ones or things to particularly to look for/avoid.

Thannkies:)

I've been looking into this for a while so I'll be watching the replies here. I looked up a whole bunch of options on Amazon, just so I could see what reviews they had. Have you tried that?

yes i did, i often look at amazonn for info and reviews. does not look much w will get any replies here. i am worried it may be too risky or uncomfy for a larger dog. my lovely new power assisted bike is perfectly up to pulling one. i will let you know what i do/try

I have one and no matter how careful I am and slowly introduce my dog to it he hates it. He gets manic when the bike starts moving but I think that's more to do with his reaction to the bike.
When the bike comes out he gets over excited/slightly neurotic but that's because he normally gets a really good run so when I put him in the trailer he is fine but when we move off he has a mental break down.
I have tried all sorts, he is happy to go in when the bike isn't involved and I have tried putting him in it on the home stretch of a long ride so he had already let of steam but it was no good.
There are several people we pass who's dogs sit happily in their trailers but it isn't for my dog.
Ps mine is the one from amazon, was about £70 and have no problem with the actual trailer, just my neurotic, run til ya legs fall off crazy dog

thanks guys, i have to admit i am worried i will pay a fortune for a good one and my dog hate it. maybe i should forget about them really. not rushing in.
