Has anyone ever used one and do they work?
My dog has always been a mad, hyper stress/excitable character but since being diagnosed with his heart problem I've noticed its becoming a problem as his symptoms worsen when he's excited- then he gets panicky.
Obviously I will discuss anything with my vet to make sure it will be compatible with his medication and not cause problems.
Maybe something herbal just to help him chill a little!

Perhaps not always, but generally, the most successful calmer is Discipline.

There will be no long term benefits to the use of 'Products'.

Alec.

I partially disagree. Yes__discipline is necessary, but some dogs need a little help. I used CSJ Focus recently on my hyper Border collie and it has made a difference and helped him stay calmer. In the past I have also used Wendel herbs Calmer mix which also helped with a x breed I had at the time.
My only reservation for the OP is that if the dog has a heart problem it might be an idea to talk to your vet to be sure that any ingredients are ok for that dog

Thanks, I had looked at the Wendal herbs one but will have a look at Nupafeeds also.
He's a shih tzu x jrt aged 9
He's been like this all his life, it's not naughtiness and to be fair he's really quite well behaved.
He just seems always tense and only really relaxes when the family are home for the evening! Until that point it's like he's anticipating things- he currently isn't allowed much exercise which definitely isn't helping as he needs to let off steam.
