Hi all I would like some advice please . I have a 15 year old staffy shes the love of my life two years ago I had some cancerous lumps remove from her . However one on her ribs grew back it was the size of a 50p she has now knocked the top off it & its now weeping watery blood I have of course cleaned it & placed a dressing over the top of it to try to get it to dry up ? She is well in herself eating wants fuss & to go for a walk. I just don't know what to do ? Do I take her to the vets or keep it clean etc so it doesn't get infected ? I can't imagine life without her but still want to put her first ? Advise would be gratefully received thank you x

I would take her to the vets tomorrow - she may need antibiotics and possibly some topical cream. When you have a much loved older pet it's hard not to worry but your vet will reassure and advise accordingly.

Hope all goes well for her (( hugs )) x

Thanks for all your advice . Took my girl to the vets today they have gave her antibiotics for 7 days & for me to bath it twice a day with salt water. Hopefully it will scab over again as vet was concerned about operating on it because of her age . Cant remember what cancer they called it sure its mass cell but some were nonbinine. Fingers x for my girl .vets was very happy with her overall health . Shes such a lovely dog I love her sooooooo much xx
