Are there certain times of the year when you should clip a dog, like for horses? Ive got a scotty dog and he needs a hair cut.

Mine gets clipped every 8 weeks or so. She's a mini schnauzer.

All the dogs I clip get done every 8-12 weeks as Gina says....some clients ask for a little more feathering to be left on during the colder months and shorter for summer....my own dogs get short back and sides regardless of weather
