Dog coats (the synthetic variety)

Can anyone recommend a decent waterproof dog coat that is the 'step in' design as my priority is to keep tummy clean and dry rather than anything else.

I've never been one for coats for dogs (if they get wet, they get wet lol) but my aged and slightly bonkers springer manages to get 10 times dirtier than the other 2 put together and she's forever under the hosepipe or in the shower!!

She also had a mammory tumour removed not that long ago and, although it's healed perfectly, I'm sure all the water can't be doing her skin any favours.

I bought an Ancol muddy paws quilted 'step in' coat which fits really nice but the underside is just material so it's a bit hopeless when it's really wet, like today.

I don't mind if the coat has legs or not. Rinsing legs and paws isn't a problem, it's her tummy I want to avoid saturating. I've had a goggle about and found surprising little but there are a couple that might be ok but would rather go with recommendations if at all possible.

I have one that I got from pah that goes under the tummy and wraps round the belly that's quite good. There's a quite expensive brand that do waterproof body suits ( will google) that are supposed to be fab. I also have a equafleece 'tankie' that keeps him surprisingly dry/ clean and u can get them with a zip in the back so they can step in
 
I've got an Equafleece "tankie" for mine. They're lovely and warm, however with my little terrier, simply because he's so near the ground (bless him), I find that when its really wet and mucky he splashes the moisture up and it collects underneath; which actually makes him WETTER than he'd have been otherwise!!

I do find the equafleece's the most useful when they're used AFTER the dog has been in the wet, its just so simple just to put a wet, mucky, cold & miserable dog into them; and they just wick away the moisture and within ten minutes you can have a nice dry warm dog again!

Am in similar position to OP, need something with a little "bib" on it to cover his chest/tummy area and keep little dog nice and dry. Not found it yet - so am following this one with interest.

Really interested in this thread as my dog comes to work every day with me to a yard which has become a total mud pit this winter having diggers and stuff driving round outside. He's a funny little thing who still lies in the exact same places as he did in summer only now they have a few inches of clay mud. He's like a little hippo!
I've been looking at Snuggy Hoods dogs body. Anyone tried this?
 
Snuggy hoods dogs body underneath a Weatherbeeta Landa Park rug wth belly wrap works for my spaniels to keep them clean at the yard. Hurtta slush suits are supposed to be great but very pricey.
 
Aaarrggghhh this has become something of an obsession now!!

I REALLY like the hurtta slush suit and it's just what I want but at nearly £60, I'm thinking it's a tad on the expensive side.

I've just found this (you can remove the daft hood) but they're only small sizes. Gawd knows what you do with a really big dog as Kiera is small by springer standards.

I'm liking the idea of equafleece for after they've been for a walk and will order one of those anyway.

PPP - I like yours and it's big enough for the small, scruffy person. Poor mite had to have a full shower tonight, she was that clarted.
