Dog covered in "blood"!

Had a real panic today when dog came back from a walk with red all down his white sides. Looked like the texas chainsaw massacre. On closer inspection it turned out to be redcurrant juice from where he had run through some bushes!

I was carefully walking Bear back to the car a few years back-Christmas Eve, picturesque woods covered in snow. A bloke stopped us to ask if we knew he was bleeding. I was polite, but come on, there was a trail of blood! He'd slashed open a pad but at nearly 26kg, he was just too heavy to carry. How I laughed at the vet who exclaimed: 'He's big for a cocker!'

Poor Bear. The snow probably helped numb the paw for him.

My very pale yellow lab loves rolling and when the mulberry tree drops fruit she ends up looking like a pink dalmation.
