Dog deaths, Norfolk

Quote the daily mail, and you will most likely be quoting garbage. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

One small point; Where is the correlation which would connect those dogs which died from a mystery illness, and a systemic disease of Ash trees? I fail to see your connection.

My mate's got a dog called Ash, perhaps I should warn him.

Alec.

Sorry, Alec - only copied it from the Dailysnail as it was the link that most immediately came up when I did a search. Actually I heard about it this morning on the BBC (perhaps a bit of a better source:p). And the first thing I thought of was the dogs.

I simply wondered if the fungus that was attacking the trees were releasing spores perhaps airbourne or on the leaf which dogs were ingesting or inhaling when out on their walks in that area.

The fungus is I understand newly discovered in these areas (where previously it was thought to be confined to nurseries).

Amymay if you watched the Countryfile programme you would have seen they had experts of fungi and plants comb all the areas affected and found nothing. However harvest mites are being considered as the likely culprit but more research is needed to confirm this.

Saw this^^^. Poor bloke got bitten to death on his legs. Should still be available to watch online as only on last Sunday.

I did watch it. Still didn't stop me from making the connection.
