Some may remember my thread about a Staffy I rehomed.

Anyway all was going well until she got a very (and I mean very) runny tummy. It got worse until her pooh was liquid.

Took her to the vets and they adviced feeding her chicken and rice for the forseeable future with her tablets and paste.

Now that is over and her pooh's have hardened up, well they have a "shape" now.

Anyway, I have no idea what to feed her as it appears she's very sensitive to some foods.

I've tried Burns, Wagg, Wainwrights and the same make as Dodson and Horrell for dogs but don't know what to try next.

Any suggestions?

Fishmongers at Pets at Home has a very high fish content for a mid-price range food.

Have you found out what sets her off, is is grain? Would you consider raw feeding?

I have tried loads of foods for my dogs and they are now on Advance Nutrition made by Pets at Home. It isn't cheap, but not as expensive as some I've tried, but their stomachs have never been as settled....

JHC, there is a sticky about the raw diet at the top of this board. It's not for everyone in terms of management or price and some dogs don't do well on it but as a pure generalisation, if you want your dog to have small, hard, infrequent poos, a great coat and shiny teeth, it's a good way to go :D

i have a similar problem with my lurcher and i changed to james wellbeloved turkey and rice kibble, its £39.99 for 15kg bag so not too expensive (though not exactly cheap either) she keeps very well on that but i have to be very careful when out walking as she is a scavenger and if she does eat anything dodgy it starts the watery poo again....luckily my vet gave me a supply of anti inflammatory tablets for emergencies.

I had the same problem with my dog a friend told me not to feed her beef I bought tin dog meat chicken or rabbit It seems some dogs don t tolerate beef very well ,had no further problems ,I hope this helps .
