Dog food for weight gain

If she has not been with you long I would not feed for weight gain I would just feed a good quality food, if you want to feed dry Millies Wolfheart is good, the weight will come don't rush it.
Enjoy her.

Give the dog a bit more exercise by putting him in a harness and long training lead and start doing collie things with him like ball throwing and retrieving. Find a well-fenced space to let him run around in and practice some games and training. Collies get easily frustrated if they do not have a chance of using their brains. A frustrated or nervous dog pulls. Start teaching him to watch you on cue and use this to teach him not to pull by getting his attention on you on walks, there are lot of fantastic videos on youtube on teaching all this.

Collies can be extremely sensitive souls and are hugely clever, your challenge is going to be getting into this one's mind to find what kind of training he responds best to. I had to train my collie in whispers to start with, anything louder and he became a nervous wreck. Best cattle dog ever, completely fearless and very assertive with cattle!

Foodwise, any food with a good percentage of fat will help. Appetite usually improves with exercise and relaxation too.

3 weeks , I tried that he threw a right strop with it over his nose

It takes training. I use it on mine when they're being gits, but they're rarely on the lead, so it's literally from car into park/onto path by river etc. I can't afford to fall over again, I was on crutches for weeks in December/January after a fall. I practised walking up and down the street and after the initial strop, they accepted it.
