Some of you may remember a while back I said about my Mums dogs fighting all the time. Well they were both pregnant and have both had pups which have gone to new homes. So its back to fighting again. So we are going to re-home Kia. My mum daren't go into the kitchen she is so scared and she physically shakes!

So if anyone wants or knows anyone who would like a Springer Spaniel Bitch please PM me. Thank you very much

This is Kia with her pups

Please turn her in to Springer Spaniel rescue. They have strict vetting procedures and most likely applicants will have previous breed experience.

Advertising a dog as free can sometimes draw pretty unsavoury types.

Well I was thinking on here that most people are pretty genuine and caring towards animals.

Thank you for the advice though

Have you thought about posting on dogpages as well?

I don't think you can ever be too cautious where dogs are concerned. At the very least, I would spay her before rehoming her.

I'd say that too

Definitely try springer spaniel rescue. I have first hand dealings with them and they will work to find to the most suitable home for this dog. Springers need experienced owners with a lot of time, trust me I have 2!
Don't let just anyone take her, it could spell disaster.

AGREE...with PROSE...u should definatley consider neutering her before rehoming...alot of people seeking FREE un-neutered dogs, will do so for the purpose of breeding from them....she could potentially be used as a breeding machine, which are more often than not kept in sheds/outbuildings and never see the light of day

...so be very carefull.
What area do u live in? and how old is she?

Please try www.syessr.co.uk - they are based in South Yorkshire. Ask for Alison and she will give you great advice on re-homing or fostering plus assistance towards spaying etc.
I have first hand experience with them and they are excellent.
I've just taken on another rescue springer bringing us upto 4 otherwise I'd have taken her on for you.
Good luck

I agree with the advice given, get her spayed first. And you should either go through the Springer Spaniel rescue or back to your breeder - any decent breeder will have a dog they've bred back regardless of age.

Good luck finding her a suitable new home

PLEASE PLEASE go direct to the springer spaniel rescue rep, find it on their website, they have strict vettings and wil onnly select someone who is able and honest unlike alot who just want a free pet and forget how much it is to maintin an animal or that it can make mistakes. As breeders we will always take one of ours back no problem at all so that is another option and if the breeder wont then shame on them as that is very irresonsible. good luck
