Dog hit by a car..

A friends dog has been hit by a slow moving car, has a few cuts and scrapes on her face and an abrasion (assume) wound under her chin. She also has a bloodshot eye and possibly a bit of blood possibly coming out of the ear(was dry when spotted). She is not insured. What would be your course of action, since the nearest vet is quite far away, the local one not having an on call thing.

if she has blood coming out of her ear that could indicate head trauma, and i would always suggest any dog involved in an RTA was seen by a vet asap, but especially if any suspicion of head trauma.

I agree. I'd try to get the dog to a vet ASAP.

oh dear, they can't til the morning due to a few factors. She's not likely to keel over is she?

I certainly hope the dog is okay this morning but Please take her to the vet.

She really needs the vets, and hope she is at the vets as there could be internal injuries that are not visible.

She is at the vets today, waiting to hear how she gets on.

Thankfully she is fine, stitches under her chin but no concussion etc. Very glad as she's a lovely, full of character little dog.

Really glad the dog is fine.... my dog only had a bit of blood coming out of one ear when she was hit by a car.... and when we went to stand her up she was as dead as a doornail

Vet said she had broken her neck and was dead before she hit the ground!!

Didnt want to post that earlier though, as didnt want to put the frighteners on.
