Dog insurance...

Can anyone recommend an insurance company for dogs? Use Petplan for the horseys but they're coming out a bit expensive for a dachshund. E & L seem to be the cheapest but I know my vet won't touch them with a bargepole.

I use petplan for my dog.
Also used it for an old dog we had and we had to make a big claim over several years. The good thing about petplan is they'll pay out for life not just 1 year like some of the other insurance companies.

I used Sainsburys. Same life cover too and the cheapest. I just went on them all and wrote down. Did tesco, Sainsburys. pet plan etc etc.

My small pets were all insured with Petplan in England - they were great; well worth the extra expense.

Agree PetPlan are one of only a few that cover an ailment for life and not just a 12 month period...worth the extra expense.

M&S or Argos Platinum as both do cover for life

I did work experience at a vets and they have to deal with all of the insurance companies. They all said that the only company that consistently pays up on time is Petplan. I know it's more expensive but think it's worth it. Plus they cover them for all of the dog's life - not just until they're 10 or whatever.

No I dont think they do...neither do alot of others...none I know off anyhow......petplan do cover for behavioural problems though
