Who do you all use for dog insurance? I am trying to get insurance for my beagle but it is dearer than for my horses!

Any one know of a decent but not too expensive insurer?

We use m&s. Don't know if they are the cheapest but they have a £7000 vets fees cover and lifetime cover.

We claimed earlier this year for a broken leg and it was very straight forward.

They also have a free handy helpline if your pet is ill/injured where you can get advice before taking them to the vets etc. We used it once and it was very good.

I have insured my GSD pup with NFU. I have house and equine insurance with them already and after receiving several ridiculous quotes from other companies I asked the NFU about premiums. I only have very basic cover for vets fees, nothing else, and it is costing me £5 a month. A more comprehensive policy would obviously be more expensive but as I only wanted vets fees cover I am happy with this. I used to have my old GSD insured with Tesco, who were quite reasonable and paid up without quibble when I had a claim.

Pet Plan all the way

Pay £20ish a month though for the pedigrees and £13 for xbreed.
Have had a large payout for one dog and they paid up straight away no fuss, meds, operation and hydrotherapy

I would ALWAYS go for one that covers for life
