dog lost puppy

hi there don't post in here very often but feel very sad for my little jack russel terrier as just home from vets and she gave birth to one dead puppy no more puppies there. the vet has said to leave dead puppy with her overnight but im not sure this is a good idea. any ideas to what is best for her sake

My vet recommended that I leave my dead rabbit in with his brother after he was pts. It makes sense for the dog to know her puppy is dead rather than remove it and she think you took it or it's lost. She'll move away from it when she realises, so gruesome though it may sound it does seem to be a good thing to do.

Sorry to hear that - my old girl had one big dead puppy but it obstructed all the others and we lost the whole litter, poor girl x
Agree with OOTP but please keep an eye on her.
