Good morning all :)

I wonder if anyone has had this problem before,

One of my dogs - a collie cross recently went off his food: Bakers complete so we tried him on Bakers Meaty Meals which he ate with gusto for a few weeks then went off that too :(

So we tried Hylife complete and hes now gone off that!!

He will eat treats (although we've stopped giving them to him to try and ensure hes hungry at meal times) and if he leaves his food, we give him 10 mins and then take it away and he has to wake for the next feed - thinking then he'd gobble it up because of missing a meal! NO!!

We've even tried hand feeding him - with no luck.

He ate a bone, and I have checked his gums and teeth which all look perfect so I don't think he has a sore mouth. The other end is working well too!

Hes still very happy in himself, still asking to play all the time, still chasing flies and hasn't lost any weight.

he is up to date with jabs and wormer.....

HELP!!!!!

Only thing I can't try is wet food as it blocks his anal glands and he gets a bad case of the windy pops!!

If he was happy with a bone it would sound like his teeth and everything is ok.:) TBH I would never feed Bakers to any dog - is full of sugars, wheat and additives.

Maybe try a different dog food - Skinners is good as it is gluten free but contains oil etc and they will eat it on its own of with some hot water - makes a bit of a gravy. You could also try tinned fish - tuna, sardines etc in oil or tomato sauce, scrambled eggs or raw eggs.:)

Rather than feeding one type of food, day in day out, why not intoduce different flavours & textures so he doesn't get bored? For an example, mine will get a variety of pasta/rice/egg/different tinned meat & fish for the meals.:)
