Dog Oinment?

My dog has a couple of sore spots in the area under her elbows, which could have come from digging in sand,or just getting scratched in undergrowth when rabbiting/ratting. There is a bit of a lump with one, and they look like abrasions not cuts.

I thought she didn't seem 100% but they weren't obvious, so have only just discovered them. I have bathed the area in weak hubiscrub, and rinsed, and then put on some pet tree-tree ointment. She doesn't seem to spend much time licking.

Any recommendations for ointments? Obviously if there isn't a quick improvement she will go to the vet.

I use the Nettex Stop Itch salve for sweetitch horses on anything like that.

It's soothing, seems to aid healing, stops the itching (obviously!) as the sore spots heal and as a bonus tastes so foul - don't ask how I know that ;) - that they leave the wound alone. It also doesn't make as much of a mess as sudocream as long as you rub it in well.
