Article in paper this morning(DMail ) dog owner wanting to sue council because her dog slipped a disc chasing a cat through long grass managed by Council! Well the picture of the dog shows a grossly obese spaniel which is apparently 3 years old, owner should be prosecuted for neglect imo. Probably more a cause of a slipped disc than long grass.

Dog owners should care for their dogs properly and keep them under control. Councils should maintain areas they are responsible for properly - this would include sweeping up and removing the grass cuttings, not leaving them to turn the pavement into a death slide once it rains next btw. DM should try harder as a paper. Cats are of course beyond reproach in any way due to being cats and therefore godlike entities. All hail our feline overlords.

to me sounds like the dog was not under control in a public place so owner has no leg to stand on. Some people will try anything to money

I read the story on DM earlier this morning and am still trying to fathom how long grass would ever cause a dog to slip it's disc? I think I should inform my 2 dogs this tonight on their walk as I don't want any killer grass causing them injuries :eek3:
