I have a 3 year old papillon, she's house trained and used a dog flap. Whenever she's left though she pees on her bed. I've never seen her doing it but it's always wet underneath on a morning. She shares a bed with my other dog. She's the dominant one and can be a cow round good but there has never been a problem with sharing a bed. As by ideas why or how to stop her doing it?

Are you sure she is not incontinent? there may well be a problem that a vet needs to sort for you. flodden as a pup used to stand up in the night and wee on his own bed. but I realised he was still asleep and dreaming. if I spoke he would wake up suddenly and be really shocked.
I made sure he was not drinking after his evening walk. has only happened 3 times and not for about 7 months now so his was def a pup dreaming thing.

Also are you sure it was her? Not the other dog?

is it def that dog peeing and not the other? Our dog did the same and was recently diagnosed with diabetes.

the beds been vet when he's not slept here so yeah it's her. There's no peeing any where else. I'll book her in the vets and get her checked out. Thanks

As suggested urine sample to the vet first (first of the morning is preferred) also as much as a clean dog will not go in there bed, a clean dog will also go in a bed (bet that sounds confusing) my meaning being if your floors around her bed are solid floors and she cannot hold her urine long enough or being a smaller breed they are more adversed to going out in all weather or even when they do they stand at the back doot to be back in immediately then she will use what soaks it up best inside (her bedding)

What do the toilet on in the garden grass/concrete?

It's concrete, and the kitchen floor is tiled. I have seen her go outside regularly though as they have unlimited access out doors. But her bed is the softest thing she has to pee on.

That is why then, you obs get my meaning, and yes a bed is the cleanest option to her if indeed the floors are all solid.
You could try a puppy pad near the door as this could help stop her passing in the bed, or use vet bed then atleast you can change it and it locks in urine so it does not sit on the surface (more hygenic for her) but def urine sample. How long is she going between toilet breaks or have you even noticed her drinking more than usual? if is is when she is left it could also be an anxious thing, try a dap plug in or collar for her. All worth a try to help her and find out why she is doing it.

Can I also ask you check something. My kitchen floor is concrete and then tiled. Sometimes condensation under the bed can make the tiled damp, making you think there has been an accident, when actually it is just condensation. I mean, is it a real puddle of smelly urine ?
