Dog portraits

Can anyone recommend a good artist for dog portraits? (drawn rather than photography)

Check the 'Equine Arts' section in the picture gallery, there are some pro and semi-pro artists on there, PapaFrita and LZT spring to mind, they are both excellent. Oh and Artysteph and I think Katt's hubby is brilliant!

However I will add that he has donated a portrait to the BHS draw the line campaign, so if you wanted to commission a portrait in a good cause you could bid for that!!! You would get a bespoke commission and the fee would go to the BHS.

I've just looked at that link and those portraits are gorgeous - I just love the one of the collie My Dad had a portrait of Mum's horse commissioned in 1991 or thereabouts and I can't remember who did it but the style is similar to Marks, don't suppose it would have been him tho??

Go on ebay, go on community, look for the member easyportraits, Mike Burroughs is fantastic he's done 3 dog pastel portraits for me and 2 horse ones:

No it wouldn't have been Mark in 1991 he would only have been a teenager. He didn't start doing animal portraits when if started riding ten years ago, before that it was mainly trains....
