This relates to my mother's dog who has, at the time of writing, been in kennels for 4 weeks.
Background - my mother is suffering some serious health issues from which she will not fully recover in order for her to be able to look after her dog properly. We have had the Cinnamon trust out to walk her dog but it is the day to day care that will prove to be no longer possible.
Before anyone asks,I CANNOT have the dog living with me. This is mainly due to the fact my dog cannot cope with other dogs in the house.
Lollipop (dog's name) is a long legged jack russell, largely due to the amount of Parson Russell Terrier in her. She is 10 years old and has been wormed and vaccinated as per the time frames. She has been spayed and is microchipped. Lollipop is also fully housetrained.
The main issue with her is that she has a grade 4 heart murmur, currently controlled with drugs from the vet. She is not good with cats and you have to be very careful around livestock. She wil always come back to me when off the lead and called. It is advisable to have a muzzle on her when out walking. She has always been fine with my son (now aged nearly 16) but I would not entirely trust her around children. However, she is also a very loyal dog.
I will put something up in the vets but am very weary about advertsing a dog for rehoming as you hear horror stories about advertsing on general media. Please don't ask me to try putting her into a rehoming kennel as she hates being in boarding kennels (where she is currently) and also they are full to the brim with healthy young dogs.
