Dog Rocks - do they work ?

I've seen advertised Dog Rocks which are a mineral of some kind, go in your dog's water bowl and after a few weeks they can prevent the brown patches appearing where your dog pees on the lawn.. I am a little sceptical and haven't yet done any research into what it is and if there are any side affects for the dog, but has anyone used them or has anyone else found a solution to this little problem?

And before anyone says... yes I do walk them a lot... but sometimes a dog's just gotta go and their own garden is the place!

Doh... and there was me thinking I'd stumbled across some new miracle product... but turns out HHO has known about them for a while :>)

But I notice tomato was suggested as an alternative - may try that
