Parents 8month old cocker has just started doing this. He is regularly wormed and his anal glands seem okay. Any ideas?

I always thought this was down to worms or anal glands, but it doesn't appear to be so in this case.

Sounds very very like anal glands - i would say take him to the vet and let them deal with it

I've had a good look, but I thought he is very young for it to be a glands problem??

No not too young, I'd take him to the vet and make sure they're totally empty. Preferably before he empties them on your floor!

As suggested definitely glands and maybe look at his diet and change it if there is room for improvement, this may help.

Feed the little perisher on raw chook wings every day and let him sort out his own anal glands
