We got Ash about a year ago from the rspca who thiught he was about 2, he was not house trained so as you can imagine that was a bit of a challenge due to his age but got it cracked 100% after a few months, at the end of last year our other dog died very suddenly and although she was a very stroppy bossy little madam Ash was clearly very lost without her so after a month or so when he still seemed depressed we started to look for a friend for him, we ended up fostering a 10 month husky (long story) who as it turned out was not house broken so there were a few accidents and I dont know if he joined in or not, anyway husky moved on, Ash was over the moon as he had hated her and we got our new mal from alaskan malamute rescue 6 weeks ago. About 2 weeks ago Ash has started peeing in the house again, I dont know if it is him trying to be assertive as he will have the odd grumble if she gets too close when he is being petted but he is not a particularly confident dog so if he is trying to be the boss I cant imagine it is a comfortable role for him, on the whole they get on well, not joined at the hips best buds but neither of them shows any aggression, the few times Ash has growled at her she has wagged her tail and wandered off.
Not sure if the peeing is an anxiety thing from him, still linked in to having had the husky who led him astray, a territory thing or anything else, has anyone got any ideas?
