Has anyone used a dog tracking collar?
Do you have any recommendations/ reviews?
I'd like to find one that will work even in wooded areas as I read that some struggle in these conditions and show location on map or GPS code.

Wow I've never even heard of these...

I'd love details too, in case its something my dad (and his border collie) might be interested in...

We got a Tractive GPS tracker for our dog. It's not a collar but a small device that you clip to their existing collar or harness. My OH did quite a bit of research into different options and we thought this one represented the best choice in relation to cost. It seems to be pretty good at tracking us when we're out and about but it will lose the connection in wooded areas or anywhere where the GPS signal is weak. I don't know if you'll find one to get round this problem though, it's a bit of a known issue with these sort of tracker devices and I don't know if there's any way round it.

I've used Garmin Astro collars - work well even in wooded areas etc but not cheap

Decathlon do a similar collar
