any suggestions what new trick i can teach t-bone (JRT)?

he does the usual commands and also roll over, and 2 paws (he sits on his back legs and waves his front paws across each other) but am looking for somehting new and exciting!!

what tricks do your dogs do?

Thanks

Mine does paw and rollover (and the usual obedience type stuff - sit, down stay, drop, leave etc etc). I'm now teaching her crawl, and to weave between my legs as we walk. We've also started target training (touch an object with her nose) and tunnel/hoop work - but we've only been doing the latter 4 "tricks" for 5 days so they're not very established yet!! I think play dead might be the next one - as she often gets "stuck" on her back doing a rollover :D (I hasten to add she's not literally stuck of course, she just likes to lie on her back and wriggle, the little floozy!)

speak would be cool, but for a terrier he is surprisingly quite, unless you are the postman, so getting him to bark in the first place is the problem!!

i like army crawl, that would be good. he is learing weave though the legs at summer camp, no doubt he will trip me up though!!

The only thing you have to watch with army crawl is when they use it against you!

My little monkey is trained to lay at my side and wait. Next thing I know he's crawled to have a look at something!! But he hasn't got up, so not been disobedient (in his eyes!) Monkey!

Thats exactly what mine started doing after I taught him to crawl!! Made me laugh!
A few basic ones could be spins (both ways), leg weaves, salute (paw without targeting a hand and higher), bark on command, dropping his head between his paws in a down (makes them looks cute!) .... but the list is endless :)
