This morning just left the gate around 7.50 turned the corner could see something on the path. A car pulled upto me saying "have seen the man on the path". the driver pulling away. I ran up with Poppy on arm . This man turned out to be a neighbour with his little dog Whestie.
I shouted to him no response from him, he was blue. Man in the car said" i call the Police" I said "whats use is that, we need a ambulance now". I knocked on the nearest house got them to call 999. The man started to stare. I put him in recovery position while we waited. It looked like he'd triped over the dog lead and knocked himself out on the pavement. I untangled the dog lead from his legs helded onto the lead. Another neigbour went got his wife. Ambulance was good they where here in 7 minutes that good response. They took over. I handed the dog to his wife and left.
I've just had a knock on the door he's in hospital and he's fine thank god. How easy it is to trip over the lead and land in hospital. I'm really please I could help. Not happy about the driver getting all wrong in this situation. He was going to leave him.
