Does anyone have one/is anyone one and what do you get for your money?

OH and I will both be working 9-5 in the new year and housemate is away for over a week so debating getting someone with a view to them coming a few times a week.

Problem we have is Quila can be dog aggressive and and Tia's recall and manners can be none existent so I'm a bit wary and we thinking about just getting someone to let me out for a wee.

How do you go about finding someone. I've not seen any adverts anywhere and got no friends up here with dogs to ask :(

Our vets have a big ring binder full of details of dog walkers, groomers etc, perhaps your vet could point you in the right direction? Or groomers, pet shops etc!

Our dog goes to a dog sitter who also does walk dogs for clients, she is very good! She charges £4 per dog for 1/2hr, and £2 for each additional dog for 1/2hr. Walks can be whatever you want them to be (on lead, off lead, with other dogs, just your 'pack' etc).

Our dog goes and plays with the other dogs all day rather than go for walks, but our dogsitter is godsend!

I have two wonderful people (pfofessional dog walkers and trainers) who I have used for eight years. They cost £12 per day for about 45 mins of walking, training, playing with their own dogs. They are really flexible and fit in with my work schedule, and will do emergency walks if I get stuck at work with some drama that I cant leave. I found them via the advert on the side of their van. They only take two dogs out at a time, and that is only if the dogs are compatable and calm together. Do your homework though - there are a few dodgy ones about!
