Just wondering what to do with my dog that has got itchy ears!! Ive had a look and it doesnt seem like its anything like mites (can dogs get those?) but it does seem like she has alot of waxy build up in there and when you rub her ear it squelches (ick!). Shes not in pain and doesnt seem all that bothered by it, but does seem to get relief from rubbing every now and then.

Is a trip to the vet in order or is there anything i can to to get rid of the wax?

Thanks, Nxx

Otto gets this, the Vet will give you some ear drops and ear cleaner, the ear drops are to clear up any infection and then the ear cleaner is to use once or twice a month to eep the ear wax down.

Not sure if you can buy them over the counter, well you can definately get the ear cleaner, but not sure about the drops!

Otto hasn't been bothered by his since, and they positively sparkle inside!

My dog has this, it turned out to be allergies to what we think and hope is his feed, if he ends up being allergic to tree or grass pollen, we will have to move to Belfast

We changed to a hypoallergenic brand.

my boy had this problem after long discussion with nutritionist turns out its his protein intake thats too high caused by me feeding him too many treats he loves dried tripe but its 76% protein he is much better now he is on rations
