I'm in college and never away for more than 2/3 hrs but i would like to be able to let her potter about while im gone.. anyone have any tips/advice??

Thanks a million! :)

So is she crated and you would like to now start letting her out?

If so u need to do it very gradually leaving the crate in place but leaving the door open, so she still has the option of going in there, so it for a short space or 20 mins and return home and check for any damage/wee pooh, signs of her being up to no good:D
Increase the time by 5 minutes each time u leave, still close the door when u are gone for longer periods for now.
Keep her confined to the room the crate is in also before increasing space as once again this should be done gradually.
Once u see she is causing no damage or stressing then collapse crate and place a bed where the crate was, but this should be done over a good 2 months period, never remove the crate and be too hasty, otherwise just leave the crate up and leave the door open, but remember only for short periods at first and make no fuss when you arrive home.

She is cute, how old is she?

ok great thanks! i have plenty of time so will start straight away and let you know how we get on!!

shes a year and a half now!! they grow up so fast!! haha got her when she was 5wks old as she was hand reared (hence the separation anxiety from the beginning) but she has gotten better and better! :)

thanks again! :D

I have nothing insightful to add except to say welcome to the forum and that Bella is (apart from being extremely well named :D), very cute and to wish you luck with your crate weaning training :).
