doggie holiday

i know there have been posts about holidays with dogs before, but would like some recomendations if poss.

In May, OH and i are looking to go to the lake district with another couple. We have 2 dogs per couple i.e. 4 dogs and most places restict the number of dogs. Would like to stay in a cottage type place, or somewhere were we can cook some nights so we can stay in with the dogs. Any ideas?

Not the lake district but there are two holiday cottages at my yard who take as many dogs as you want, horses and even kids!!
