Hi, I'm usually to be found on the Horse new lounge forum but thought I would venture on to here to ask for some advice.

I have two lovely Border Terriers, Connie and Chip, (I will add pictures later when I am at home) and we take them on holiday with us every year. We've run out of ideas for where to go this year and thought I would ask for ideas for a great dog friendly holiday. We live in the South West but are happy to go anywhere in the UK. Near a beach/ lake would be good as the humans like to sail and windsurf. We usually do cottages, but I have not been well this year so thought we might try a hotel (or cottage in hotel grounds) so I don't have to worry about cooking :)

Thanks x

Do you fancy Shropshire? Not near a beach, unfortunately but a wonderful place for walking. (Offa's Dyke etc)

We stayed here

with our dog a couple of years ago. Totally dog friendly (including an outdoor warm dog shower for muddy paws :)) and wonderfully comfy for humans. Plus the people who own it used to run a restaurant so they can provide delicious meals to your self-catering cottage.

It's also near the famous slow food town of Ludlow - it's foodie heaven!

Alternatively, what about the Lake District? It's most dog friendly area I have ever been There is a thread about it here
