Doggy cold sores?!

Hey all,

Beau has, what looks like, 4 cold sores on his top right hand side of his lip.......

do dogs get cold sores?!!! I know its a herpes virus...... Im just a bit unsure and now IM a bit like AH OMG WHAT HAS HE GOT!?! (cue frantic vet student searching through lectures!)

o never mind

been to the vets and got some steroid cream to put on as he thinks its just a small trauma that has blistered up....... but could also be a food allergy or auto immune disaese, but these 2 are fairly unlikely!
