So my silly dog decided to injure himself after I got home, then left again to go riding. He does suffer a little from SA, but a couple of times I have come back and caught him snoozing, so not always that worried.

Today I came back after riding, been out less than 2 hours, I got to take him out, and he has patches of skin missing on 3 of his legs, with quite a deep ish cut on the inside of his hock :( I have no idea how he's done it, not blood smears anywhere, its a mystery!

I rang the vet (but unfortunately couldn't get through before I felt really mean for not feeding him :o ) and he's going in tomorrow for potentially stitches on his worst leg, his others are just scrapes. I have vetwrapped up the bad one, but unfortunately horsey first aid box out of vetrap, so the others have been covered with help from human first aid. Poor max is feeling very sorry for himself, and is now walking like a horse with travelling boots on, despite me repeatedly checking its not too tight

Picking poor little max up from the vets this afternoon after having his stitches, if he has a head cone I don't think he's going to like it!

What a terrible owner, only had him 2 weeks, just wish I knew how he did it, still can't find any signs anywhere :o

Have you checked the radiators? My brother ESS managed to get stuck having fallen asleep on the window sill (had no idea she did this when we were out) - she had slipped off and got 2 x leg stuck between the radiator and wall and 2x legs between the radiator and sofa (lucky it was summer so the heating was off)! She didn't need stitches, but skinned 3x legs quite badly.

The radiators have grills on top, and I have checked behind the radiator, but I have white walls and there's no blood smeared anywhere on them.

He's going to have to wear his cone overnight I think, as I think when left alone he will lick his stitches, he's going to be one sad puppy going to bed :(
