Doggy Painkillers?

I dont post on this part of HHO much, but when I have you have all been increadably helpful! Hoping you can be again!
Basic story is, Pippa my JRT is now 7, and has pulled her knee cap out on her left hind 3 times over the past few years. The 1st time falling down the stairs trying to kill the postman (!!) and the other two time playing with a friends dog.
We have noticed that over the past couple of weeks she has been limping and hopping on that leg, but she has definately not popped it out again (friend is a vet nurse and had a feel the otherr day) so we are assuming that she is arthritic in that joint now, and it is flaring up and causing her discomfort... is there anything we can give her to help with the pain?
Im going to get her some glucosamine, can you think of anything else? Heres a piccy, just because she's my beautiful girl! lol!

Mum shrank the jumper in the wash and we couldnt resist!! haha!!

It is safe to give aspirin to dogs at the same dose to weight ratio as humans but i wouldn't reccommend that for long term relief. We have had great results from Joint Aid for Dogs on an arthritic collie. Also keeping her warm and possibly a magnetic pad in her bed will help too.

Maybe if you get a big enough pad it will keep your joints in good shape too

Green lipped mussel extract blocks pain receptors. I use it with success on my oldies.

Bioflow collars - worked a treat on my arthritic staffie and also my brothers staffie boy ( who then became very active!). Also, I have just put my younger staffie onto Pedigree joint care+ chews. they contain Glucosamine, Chrondroitin and green muscle powder in the dosages that the vet recommended. Cost @ £12.50 for 3 weeks worth, takes 6 weeks to have an impact. They have 3 different size chews (same as for the dental) for the different weight's. Worth a try anyway.!
