Dougal dog was sick yesterday, proper doggy sick (nice!) with lots of grass... so assumed he had a bit of a dodgy tum... Withheld food but he has since been sick twice this am, just watery stuff with bits of grass in it...

Any ideas on how to settle his stomach? Should we let him eat anything?

He does seem a bit subdued, but nothing major...

Vets? Or leave him till tomorrow see if it passes?

He usually has a stomach of steel, but ironically hasnt eaten anything dodgy this weekend.

Is he still drinking and able to keep it down? and has he eaten between the times he was first sick and the last and was he able to keep that own?
If so I would offer a very small light meal to see if he can keep it down, if he is not interested in food an not well in himself I woul make a vets app for tomorrow morning.

Semi-starvation diet for today Tinkerbee. Boiled rice, add some diluted bovril or marmite - if he refuses it you can add a little cooked egg. If he eats that this morning, add a little chicken or egg to the rice tonight and just monitor him. If he seems worse - either sicker or more unhappy/subdued then yes, off to the vet. Keep an eye on his water - availability and how much he is drinking.

He wouldn;t eat his dinner last night apparently (I wasn't here) ate a few dog nuts (which reappeared) so didn't give him any breakfast but he's again had a few nuts, which havent reappeared yet.

He's still drinking, but the last lot of "sick" did appear to be mostlty water. He does tend to drink a lot at once though. Should we try restricting his water and seeing if that helps? ie not downing loads at once (that would make me feel ill never mind him!) Don't want him dehydrating though.

If he is bringing up the water after a short period of time and food then he needs to be checked, I would not offer anymore food but water little and often, and boil it an cool it, maybe worth u phoning the vet just to have a chat, they will prob ask u to keep a close eye on him and bring him in tomorrow if this continues or phone back if he deteriorates..
does he usually eat things he shouldn't?

Ok, thank you

Sadly yes, you have to keep an eye on him as anything goes down his throat

Poop...orange peel...crisp packets on one occasion

But 97% certain he's not eaten anything dodgy, other than grass...
