Somebody said a recent thread about strange things your pets like to eat, that they gave their dog a coconut to chew etc. So today I thought I'd give my whippet one to see if he liked it

Success!!!! LOL, Mojo loves his coconut, and it lasts longer then chewy bones, and less mess than a real bone, and cheaper than both! Result.
Happy whippet (PMSL at his tongue)

BTW does anyone know if coconuts are harmful? I hope not! It'll be an occasional treat just in case!

I'm sure I've read something somewhere about coconut milk and enzymes??? This will niggle all night now so gonna google it! Watch this space. PS nikkiP - wee whippet is gorgeous!

The wind blew a plastic shovel down the other day; it shattered and my fox terrier went crazy chewing the pieces of that! Was never interested in the complete shovel! My lurcher loves eating the hazelnuts that drop in my garden, oh and of course both my terriers are never happier than when they're chewing knickers!

My dogs like to chew on a raw carrot - but I don't think they swallow much of it, because they usually leave a gooey pile of shredded carrot on the floor - definately one for outside I think!
