I posted something on another thread earlier and it made me wonder whether or not anyone else has experienced any similar things with your dogs (or other animals).

When we took our lab puppy to dog training classes she wouldn't go past a certain area in the hall. Wouldn't even be dragged there (not that I would have literally done that, but you know what I mean - she just dug her feet in and wouldn't move). She would walk along, then loop around the area, then back to the original path. I thought she was being naughty, but the trainer (who wasn't totally convinced about the supernatural kind of things) told me that a lot of dogs just wouldn't go in this area. She said that if she hadn't seen dog after dog avoiding the area then she wouldn't have believed it, but there was definitely something they didn't like.

I am not a disbeliever of these things - excuse the double negative but it sums up how I feel. And I am definitely aware of the 6th sense feeling and premonitions etc. Have you experienced anything similar with your animals?

As I said earlier we have a house ghost with a good sense of humour. Just things like the radio coming on, light bulbs flickering, light breeze/cold feeling in the corner of the living room.

Doesn't scare me, talk to 'him' regularly when on my own. The dog just doesn't sit in the armchair in the corner (no one does), baby doesn't even go there. She does the staring at things (dog not the baby) like the wall but not disturbed.

My mums cousins little miniture wire haired daschund is a good one barking at the top of her stairs but you can hear somebody walking up them and then he barks. But I challenge anything to get past him, dogs always make me feel safe.

Oooh we were only talking about this yesterday in the pub - how spooky!:p

A friend's grandma died after tripping on the top stair and falling. Her dog(who didn't see it happen) will spend ages sitting at the bottom of the stairs just staring at the top stair.

I once took my collie x gsd with me on a mountain bike ride over Bodmin moor. He was happily trotting along in front of me then he suddenly stopped, his ears went down, his tail between his legs and he came running back to me refusing to go on! I went with my dog's instinct and turned round too - I wasn't going anywhere where he wasn't happy to go!

I was recently visiting my nans grave, and I often take the dog as its a remote church and like to feel 'safe'
As we were walking through my dog suddenly went mad barking and growling at this grave!! proper gave me the creeps and we legged it!
