Hi all, really need your advice please. We have a little jrt who will be 9 in June. She is in great health. The problem we are having is that she will not settle at night with this wind. She is sensitive to fireworks but this last time she was a lot better with the fireworks. She runs round panting, jumping on and off the bed or if we are downstairs she jumps on and off the settee. She is keeping us awake all night. She has always had the run of the house and sleeps with us at night. The lab we have doesn't worry at all.

Have you any ideas?

Try using a little Bach Rescue Remedy to calm her down. Play with her to distract her when the wind gets strong. Is it possible she'd be happy in a crate with a blanket thrown over the top to make it cosy?

I have some rescue remedy so will try it. She will hide under blankets for a short time then it's back to pacing around. I thought of the crate but I was worried it might stress her more as she has never used one. It's still howling here and she is sat in the windows in the sun!! Just seems to be at night when she can't see. Is it possible to overdose on the rescue remedy?
